Cardio Thoracic
The Olivedale Cardiothoracic unit was established in 1997. It boasts a Siemens Multistar Catheterisation Laboratory (Cath Lab) and a dedicated cardiothoracic theatre - all in the same unit. This unit is supported by a specialized 8-bed cardiothoracic ICU. The specialists and staff make this unit what it is.

Our Emergency Department is managed by ER Consulting Inc. Full time emergency doctors are based in the Netcare Olivedale emergency department 24 hours per day, and are therefore available to treat each and every emergency that presents in the shortest possible time. In line with international standards of care, ER Consulting Inc. employs the triage system to ensure that patients are seen and treated appropriately according to the acuity of their illness or injury. ER Consulting Inc charges NHRPL / Medical Aid rates to medical aid patients. This is the lowest medical aid approved rate and ensures that quality is affordable.

Gynaecology
The Hospital’s Maternity Unit offers a warm, friendly and caring environment for both Mother and Baby. The Unit has highly trained Midwives, nursing staff and leading Obstetricians resident in the Hospital. The Maternity Unit offers rooming in facilities, and is supported by a fully equipped Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Our Wellbaby Clinic offers antenatal and postnatal classes. The Netbaby passport, entitles parents to the following free services: 4D scan, Netcute Baby (baby on the website), In-House Immunizations, Birth Registration with Home Affairs and a Foetal Non-Stress Test. Oncology Centre
Netcare Olivedale Hospital has an established fully inclusive Oncology Centre embracing a digitally networked radiotherapy and radiosurgery facility, and a medical oncology unit with a chemotherapy department. The facility houses a stereotactic radiosurgery system that provides a non-invasive means of delivering precise beams of radiation into a tumour in the brain. A specialized treatment team of dedicated oncologists caters for each of the separate and distinct components of the diagnostic and treatment process. In addition, the unit has a medical physicist, highly trained radiotherapists as well as skilled nursing staff.
