Bets Welman started her career in the private hospital industry in 1980 in Klerksdorp at the Anncron & Daylene Clinics. She qualified as a cost and management accountant and managed all the admin departments in the hospital. Bets joined Netcare in 2007 as hospital general manager at Netcare Pretoria East Hospital and a year later she took over the management of Netcare Bronkhorstspruit Hospital as well.

On a personal note Bets loves travelling, photography and spoiling her grandchildren.
